It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

I'm sure it's quite obvious by now, but I am totally into the holiday season. I decided I really wanted to do something festive on my blog this week, but couldn't quite figure out what. Then it hit me....combine my favorite store (LOFT), some holiday outfits, and some awesome bloggers. I love LOFT for so many reasons, the most of which is how petite and educator friendly they are. I decided to ask some lovely ladies, all petites and/or educators, to send me their LOFT holiday looks. I will also be sharing my holiday outfits throughout the week! I will have a couple of bloggers featured through Thursday! Yay for spreading holiday cheer!

First up is Jan from The Girliest Boy Mom. She is one of the most adorable women I have ever seen! She always comes up with the cutest outfits, has a great sense of colors, and gives me tons of inspiration!

Jan

Jan said that she wore this outfit to church over the weekend. I think it is a perfect color combination for this time of year, without being too literal. The texture of her skirt says "holiday ready." Here are her outfit details:

Loft Long and Lean Cardigan
Loft Jaquard Floral Skirt
Loft Shell
Steve Madden Ultta Pumps

Next up is the beautiful Jean from Extra Petite. She is actually the first petite blogger that I found and followed regularly. She has quite a knack for being able to look sophisticated, stylish, and put together at work. I envy how professional she always looks in her work outfits! She also has the best tips and reviews for petites, she is an expert at finding the perfect fit.

Jean said, "This is just a quick outfit where I layered a longer skirt over a shorter dress. It's a great way to get more wear out of holiday dresses!" I love that she used the dress as a top...what a creative idea! The colors of the top are gorgeous, and coordinate perfectly with the rest of the pieces in her outfit. Here are her outfit details:

Sweater: LOFT V-neck long cardigan (comes in reg. and petite)
Dress: J.Crew
Skirt: Sweet Velvet Petites
Shoes: Ann Taylor

Lastly, I will leave you with a recent holiday outfit of mine. I don't think it can compete with the two lovely ladies above me, but here it goes! I wore this over the weekend to my husband's work holiday party at Dave and Buster's. It was definitely a party atmosphere, and the green color of the top paired with my velvet pants were festive enough for me!

Top: The Limited
Pants: Kohl's LC Lauren Conrad
Shoes: Nine West
Belt: Shopmamie

Stay tuned for more holiday madness to come throughout the week!

  2. Love all three outfits. I've only recently discovered Loft in all its glory, and picked up a few amazing pieces from there this year. I must say Jean's color combination with all those saturated hues is killer!

I really love the textured look of Jan's jaquard skirt, Jean's gorgeously patterned top, and the off-shoulder top that you're sporting. So many lovely looks! :)

  5. Tara - thanks so much for putting this together! Thank you for your kind words and I'm excited to see all the outfits you'll be featuring this week. I don't know if you have an account on twitter but I'll tweet about your posts and will blog about it later this week.

Emerald green is an AMAZING color on you. Something about it just looks stunning against blonde hair and makes it pop even more. I've never checked out LC's line at Kohls but the velvet pants are a great touch against your top : D

Fellow tiny petites - I should say a disclaimer that the Sweet Velvet skirt doesn't fit that small - It sits low on my hips (I had it pinned back for this pic).

  6. Great feature this week! How fun! I love your chic pose with Mario. =D

Emerald green looks fantastic on you, and I really like Jan's color combination. I don't think I could have come up with anything like that. And kudos to Jean for tucking that dress into a skirt! How ladies do that without any lumps and bumps is beyond me.

  21. All 3 of you ladies look amazing. I especially love Jean's beautiful and chic outfit. Her shoes are cute and fun in Turquoise.

Love your choice of Holiday Wear, Tara. That one-shoulder Limited top is amazing. I have the orange version of it from two seasons before the green. However the green one combined with the velvety pants is even more holiday-ready. =) You shine in this outfit and your curves are shown to the max, despite your petite status.
