1) Layer a button down under a sweater. I love doing this with a different colored button down from the sweater for a fun pop of color. This is also a great opportunity for subtle pattern mixing. I love doing a leopard or gingham print button down with a polka dot or striped sweater on top. For added fun, especially while not at work, you could also add a fun vest. I spotted lots of high-quality, cozy looking sweaters at T.J.Maxx....all at amazing prices! They also had button down shirts in an assortment of patterns and vibrant colors.
2) Add a scarf to your outfit. Not only does this serve as extra warmth, it also adds another dimension of texture and color or pattern to your outfit. There are so many different ways to tie a scarf, the possibilities to change it up are endless! I picked up this super soft maroon colored scarf that I am wearing at T.J.Maxx. It was the exact color that I have been looking for!
3) Layer your jewelry. This is something that I do quite often. I love layering multiple delicate necklaces, then adding a longer one. Statement necklaces can also look awesome when paired with a more delicate necklace. We all know bracelet stacking can create quite a statement. T.J.Maxx has a large assortment of awesome jewelry...all for way less than department stores. Here, I've layered a longer necklace with a scarf. If you do this, just be careful when removing the jewelry so you don't snag your scarf!
I paired my scarf with a cute striped tee and cozy cardigan with faux leather sleeves...all from T.J.Maxx! I also found some adorable makeup bags in their large selection of beauty items that will be so perfect for holiday traveling.
